> We have been looking after Katikati tamariki since 2016, tucked in behind the main street with a big back garden for digging and climbing. Most of our team have been here for years, so the children see the same familiar faces every morning.

Based in 14 Wharawhara Road, Katikati.

- **Under 2 | Pēpi room** — $395. Full days, 8am to 5pm
- **2 to 3 | Toddler room** — $310. Full days, 8am to 5pm
- **3 to 5 | Kōwhai room** — $140. Full days, after 20 Hours ECE is applied

## How it works

- **8am** Arrival and free play
- **8:30am** Morning tea
- **9am** Outdoor play and garden time
- **10:30am** Group mat time and stories
- **11:30am** Lunch
- **12:30pm** Rest and quiet activities
- **2pm** Art, music and learning stations
- **3pm** Afternoon tea
- **3:30pm** Free play and home time begins
- **5pm** Centre closes

## About

We are a small, locally owned centre with three rooms and a strong focus on outdoor play, given Katikati's mild weather most of the year. Many of our families have older children who came through the centre before their siblings, which we take as a good sign we are doing something right.

## Licences and memberships

- **Qualified teachers** All lead teachers hold a current early childhood teaching qualification
- **First aid** All staff hold current paediatric first aid certificates
- **Long service** Several of our teachers have been with us more than five years
